NY Times: Barack Panoramic
View of Barack Obama’s Speech at Invesco Field in Denver
To MIN 352:
Here’s an interesting take on the start of Barack’s speech last night (please view it in full screen). This combines photography, audio and design together to give us a completely overwhelming view of what it must have been like last night.
To JOU 220:
The question for us is this: how do you (or do you) compete with a visual and audio story like this? What else would you bring to the table?
While we’re going to spend a great deal of time working on your writing, we must also think about what kinds of stories we want to write.

I don’t know if you wanted us to answer this here, or bring it in to class. But, since I don’t want to be a slacker, I will post it on here.
I think that was an amazing idea, kudos to The New York Times. I think something that would have made it better, at least for me, is to have the screen that is showing Obama’s speech in the middle, and then show the crowd around him. It would be extremely difficult to top that story though.
I always appreciate comments here. Commenting is new slacking
