MIN352: Types of Projects
Here are some links to illustrates the various types of projects you can do (so you can start thinking about that). There are some wicked cool interactive media projects out there, but don’t let this limit you.
For instance:
Interactive Movie Site: Now you don’t have a movie, but you could make a Flash or Maya trailer and build a promotional site around it; or you could use Machinima (don’t know what that is, ask) and gather assets to build a projects. (Or the site for The Hobbit.)
Fan Site: This isn’t a great example, but it’s a fan site for games. You can get tons of assets from the game world; or check out the…
Game Site: Where you can build a promotional site for a game.
News Site: You can build a fictionalize news website, integrating new tools (or create a project with the Northerner).
Marketing Sites: You can do a more business-oriented site that promotes a product or brand (say, Media Informatics) for the display case on the second floor.
In other words, you can begin to imagine creating any type of site you want. We’re going to discuss our ideas on Thursday so you should come prepared.
