Thanks to Ashley, we now know how to check out video cameras for our projects. 

  1. go to http://it.nku.edu
  2. Click on Forms + Requests
  3. Click on Customer Portal (NKU username + password)
  4. Click Log an Incident
  5. In the drop-down box, go to Media Production + Distribution
  6. Click on the Mini DV Digital Camcorder

These camcorders are for the entire university, so you shouldn’t have a problem (as long as you don’t wait until the very last possible second).

 

Here’s an update from Jennifer (March 27, 2009)

“In order for a student to check out a camera for class use, they are still required to fill out a proper service request. 

  1. This can be found by going to http://it.nku.edu and then clicking on the “For Faculty and Staff” link under the Information Technology Links. 
  2. Once done, it will take you to another page where you will just look for the “IT Service Request” link under the “For Faculty and Staff Links”. 
  3. Once done, you may be required to log in to your NKU account to get to the next part (your NKU account is the same as your e-mail, spechtj1). 
  4. Once done, look for the link “Audio/Video Equipment SR” (it should be in orange and close to the middle of the page). 
  5. After that, just properly fill in the information and send it to us.”
