Hey y’all:
I’ve gone through all your projects now. I’ve created a new page on the Wiki – Technology Notes for Your Projects – with technological solutions for some of your problems. I suggest looking through this page.
Feel free to add sections or specific applications that you run across.
But…
…you’re also going to need to do a little exploration for this so you can come up with the best possible sites. This exercise will help you with your final post-mortem report (which you should already be working on, btw):
- Find 10 sites that are similar to what you want to do. Think thematically, not specifically.
- Make a list of 10 things that happen on their pages that YOU want to do
- Make a list of the widgets, software, applications that you need to include to create those 10 things.
I will expect to see this in your final report (and I’ll know if you did it based upon the development of your community). We’ll discuss more as the semester goes on; however, get started on this now.
