Hello Students:

I thought I would post a quick note here to update you on tomorrow’s class. After reading the first set of case study papers, two things became clear:

  1. I have not done a quality job explaining the assignments + the materials for you; and
  2. the class needs to spend some time discussing writing and logic skills.

To that end, I have decided to modify tomorrow’s class slightly:

  1. I have decided to throw out the grades from the first case study. I will then double the points for the next assignment, which I am confident will be better; and
  2. I have created a 3-page overview of how you should structure your papers, grammatical mistakes (I stopped after one page for our collective sanity) and general thoughts on the writing; and
  3. We will spend the first 15-20 minutes discussing that sheet, the next 15-20 minutes discussing the Wiki and the remaining time in small groups. There will be no presentations tomorrow. However, we will discuss each section of the paper informally as a class.

I will take responsibility for what appears to be a lack of clarify on the assignments (hence, discarding the grades); however, the attention to grammatical and detail are yours.

I am supremely confident that we will fix this situation.
