Hello Students:
Apparently I have failed at maintaining the rigorous discipline that I expect on these projects because three of the five groups have turned in completely unacceptable work for their grades. (This is not to say the work is unacceptable or that the presentations were bad – this is not the case.)
Your grade sheets are baffling and, if I am to be honest, half-assed. The timelines are at times ridiculous. Two groups aren’t turning anything in for critique/evaluation until Thanksgiving. It’s your project, but looking at what we have so far I can tell you that the final grades on the stories will not be good.
This isn’t to belittle your work and effort. That has been quite impressive. However, we do not wing stories. That’s disrespectful and shoddy.
This will be corrected on Tuesday. Please bring a hard copy print out of your timeline/grade sheets. Please bring hard copies of all your work (e.g. jpegs of web designs, images, still photos of costumes – if that is one of your assets, scripts) and digital copies of your videos and music.
Also, I recommend reading and preparing for a quiz, which I am writing.
